With a passion for food, Neneh Pedersen and Chiara Rose, the founders of Rainforest Catering, are dedicated to serving the community through their culinary creations. Meet the Team

Co-Founder

Neneh Helena Nelsen-Pedersen

Neneh has deep roots in Yaakwdáat, with both Eyak and Lingít heritage. Her love for food bloomed at a young age and continued to grow while she worked as a cook at "Turn Up The Beet", a whole foods restaurant in Port Angeles, WA. Now living at home she wants to be a part of bringing whole foods nourishment to her community. She brings a passion and love for food, and her cuisine continues to be inspired by the traditional foods of her homelands.

In her free time she loves spending time with her daughter Stormy Pacific.

Co-Founder

Chiara Rose

Chiara is new to Yakutat. Her childhood dream was becoming an Italian Chef. She pursued a career in environmental advocacy and came to Yakutat to help support sacred site defense. Now, Rainforest Catering is her returning to her childhood dream. Her signature dishes are wood fired pizza and the Italian food she was raised on, but she loves collaborating on new dishes as well. She is new to Yakutat, and looking forward to this new chapter in her life.

In her free time she likes to dance, play guitar and spend time in nature.
